For more than eighteen years I have been in leadership positions in international organisations. From early childhood I was fascinated by the behavior of people and their ways of collaboration. During my studies Cultural Anthropology and afterwards in my professional life, I worked with many different leaders and teams in the Netherlands, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. I developed a strong interest in leadership development and in strengthening leaders and teams.
In my first leadership position, as director of a regional office in East Africa, I experienced all challenges of a new female leader with a multi-cultural team. I took this experience into subsequent executive positions in Cordaid and Oxfam Novib. In those positions I had central roles in organisational change and change management, with challenges faced by international organisations: political decision making, culture change, diversity management, distant management and crisis management. Colleagues describe me as inspiring and passionate, strong in getting the best out of people and in connecting people to achieve lasting results in challenging and complex organisations.
Since 2017 I work as leadership coach and interim manager, fully focussing on my passion: to make people sparkle in their personal and professional leadership. I coach people in diverse organizations in the Netherlands and worldwide. I facilitate teamcoaching and leadership trajectories and support teams and people in conflict with mediation.
With interim management assigments, I keep my own leadership skils up to date; I worked as interim director for the Association of Child Cancer Netherlands, as interim change manager for Oxfam Novib and public libraries as interim manager.
As Senior Practioner Coach I was trained at the School for coaching and Nonons . I have an international accreditation for executive coaching with Marshall Goldsmith. At The Arbinger Institute got introduced in the 'Outward Mindset' and at the Vitaliteitsgroep in stress and burn-out coaching.
